Steph
Joining the class has changed my life, I look forward to them every week.
Gary is very knowledgeable and there is a great atmosphere.
I am already seeing the benefits to my health and well-being.
I would highly recommend the class.
Here's what our students say about us...
"I am enjoying every lesson and already feeling more flexible. Shaolin seems very hard to
master the many techniques and forms, which is appealing to me."
"I didn't know anything about Shaolin kung fu and worried I wouldn't be able to do the class due to fitness and flexibility levels. You don't know until you try though, and of course I was very pleased to find a knowledgeable, genuine instructor teaching an interesting style.
"I enjoy the classes, the teaching and learning the various applications. Plus it's fun and I now have a Kung Fu family."
"I've got a background in martial arts and I wanted a new challenge. This style sounded really interesting - it's not widely taught, and it's authentic (it has a direct link back to traditional Chinese practices)."
"I like very much the classes as I am very much in need of learning not only about tai chi but also how to do it correctly! The benefits to me are that this helps me enormously as I am in recovery of long term illness."
"Gary is an excellent, kind, and attentive teacher who inspires the children to do their best through positive reinforcement and by acting as a great role model for both them and the sport. He manages to teach a range of ages and abilities in a really inclusive and sensitive manner, which makes for a positive and rewarding atmosphere for the children. We're really grateful for the class, and it has definitely had a positive impact on Mae and her friends."
"Gary is great with the children. His patient and approachable manner have helped the children to move forwards and gel as a group. This is certainly down to Gary and I would like to take this opportunity to thank him."
"It has taken me a long time to find a Martial arts class that has an open and friendly feel and that has hard training and top instruction."
With effort and dedication wonderful things can happen!
- Change how you move.
Learn to move with a lightness, grace and poise, by correcting your structure, increasing flexibility, strength
and body awareness. Help alleviate some of those aches and pains.
- Learn how to set goals. Changing anything about yourself in a positive way takes time and there can be some discomfort as your body and mind adapts to the changes, but with expert instruction and achievable goals anything is possible. Discover the techniques used by the masters and our champions. Get our free goal setting resources..
- Change how you think. Developing a strong, flexible mind is key, neuroscientific research suggests that the brains structure can alter as a result of experience. This can be achieved through the meditations both moving and static, found in our Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Yoga and meditation. Create mental lightness and clarity.
- Self-defence.
It's the hope that no one ever needs to use it, but having the confidence to deal with conflict verbally or physically is one less thing to worry about.
- Breathing correctly, the powerful life-hack. You can last over 3 weeks without food, 3 days without water, but only minutes without air! And yet few people put any effort into learning how to breathe efficiently or realise how the breath can be a powerful tool to create calm and even has the ability to affect your psychology and physiology.
- Take some control back.
Science has given us so much, we're living longer, healthier lives. But the NHS is struggling to cope and the responsibility for our physical and mental health is being pushed back on the individual. We can teach you how to use methods ancient and new so that you can take back some control over your health. Check out these links to the
